Dear Coal Creek Meals on Wheels Volunteers,
You are the foundation of our organization and the heart and soul of our community. You create a space where everyone is truly supported and cared for, and your dedication is nothing short of inspiring. Witnessing your selflessness and being part of this mission is both a privilege and a joy.
Every role our volunteers take on is essential to achieving our mission: delivering nutritious hot meals daily while promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for our neighbors.
To our incredible kitchen volunteers: You are the backbone of meal preparation, preparing and packaging meals for delivery, supporting our kitchen staff to ensure everything is ready for the day, and tackling even the most challenging and messy tasks with unwavering commitment.
To our amazing baggers: You put your organizational skills to work by packing up all the hot meals for the drivers, carefully ensuring that each route includes the necessary sides to meet every individual’s dietary needs. Your sharp eye for detail catches and resolves errors, making sure everyone has what they need.
To our dedicated drivers: You not only deliver meals but also bring warmth and connection to our neighbors who might otherwise miss out on social interaction. You act as an extra set of eyes to help ensure the safety and well-being of those in our care. Your willingness to step in whenever gaps need filling demonstrates your extraordinary dedication to CCMOW.
To our cheerful servers and hosts: You greet our café visitors with kindness and a smile every day. Even in a bustling environment, you ensure that every guest receives their meal and experiences meaningful interactions. Watching you build connections with our visitors is one of the greatest highlights of working at Josephine Commons.
Each volunteer role is like a vital piece of a puzzle. Without every piece, we wouldn’t be able to complete the picture or fulfill our mission.
To all our volunteers: thank you! Your work is valued, appreciated, and indispensable to everything we do.
Happy Volunteer Appreciation Week!
