Sarah Parker
Carbon Valley Program Manager

Sarah was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where her passion for food security began as a Girl Scout. After bouncing around the Pacific Northwest for a few years, she landed in Denver, Colorado, for a new adventure. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Central Florida and is currently completing a Master of Social Work degree at Metropolitan State University of Denver. An AmeriCorps Alumna, she has experience working hands-on in rural communities to improve access to delicious, nutritious food.

As the Carbon Valley Program Manager, Sarah is eager to bring CCMoW’s mission to a new community. An eternal optimist, she believes in the power of collective action and that every person is inherently worthy of being cared for.

In her free time, Sarah can be found exploring local trails with her dog, Gracie, searching thrift stores for historic cookbooks, or watercolor painting at a nearby park.
