A longtime Lafayette resident, Melanie brings both deep community roots and a lifelong commitment to service. Coming from a family of helpers, her passion for giving back began early—volunteering alongside her grandparents to distribute food and learning that compassion isn’t just a value, it’s a practice.

With more than two decades co-leading Boulder-based KT’s BBQ and years of nonprofit leadership experience—including roles with Walk to End Alzheimer’s and Sun Valley Youth Center—Melanie brings creativity, heart, and strategic vision to her work. She loves building meaningful events and connections that bring people closer to a mission.

What drew her to Meals on Wheels? A shared belief that everyone in our community deserves good nutrition, dignity, and the reassurance that someone cares and is checking in.

Outside the office, you might might find Melanie making music, playing in nature, cooking-up some great food, spending time with her two fascinating sons, or in the middle of some kind of craft project.
